Makeup:
Black
hair, fair skinned beauties can wear lip tones of dusty rose and
plums to brighten their look but nothing can replace a bright
warm red for drama. Generally lip colors that work are: raspberry
reds, warm reds, blue reds, bright reds, geraniums, fuchsias, roses,
medium pinks, berries, burgundies, soft plums. Avoid orange reds.
Avoid strong pinks.
Lip
shades that look great with dark hair and lite/fair skin: Red
Alert. Scarlet, Mulberry, Misty Mauve, Infinity, Devotion, Sweetheart,
Geranium, Matador Red, Rouge, Prom Pink.
If your
eyes are dark, they can carry more defined makeup. Use rich
color, blacks and chocolates. Lighter eyes call for more subtle
washes of shadow. The brows are a key to this style. Eyebrows that
are too heavy can close up eyes. Use a dark brown or black brow
pencil. Don’t force a new shape to them but fake some great effects.
Stick with the natural line, don’t pluck on top, it will distort
the shape.
If your brows are too thick, try combing all hairs straight down
until your natural arch becomes apparent. Then trim the brushed
down brows with a manicure scissors, following the shape of the
upper arch. If brows are too thin, draw the ideal shape and fill
in. Use eye shadow for high definition. With disposable applicator
or brush,
apply shadow precisely with emphasis on the outside corner. Put
a wash of color on the lid.

Style
tips
Jewelry
that graces the ears is the foundation of feminine adornment. A
dramatic drop earring is romantic and the perfect thing for evenings.
A short drop works anytime. A bracelet worn on the upper arm can
give a touch of Egyptian royalty. The gold chain is a basic necessity
and one of the first necklaces a to invest in. Experiment with length
to see what works.
Remember, a round face can be exaggerated by a round choker. When
in doubt, rely on the little black dress. It goes all day long and
into the night and is the ultimate basic essential. During the day,
complement it with simple metal
jewelry, dark glasses and sandals. For the evening, change to
pumps and pearls. Great for traveling, it’s a wardrobe "must"
that simply can’t go wrong.
