Makeup:
In makeup as in style, choose your best feature to play up. When
planning your look decide whether to emphasize the eyes or the lips
the most. Choose one or the other, this gives your face a focal
point and creates an enhanced beauty presentation for your face.
For fair skinned beauties, the eyes can make a strong glamour statement
along with dramatic, thick and long lashes. Enhancing them is a
subtly provocative touch. Beautiful
lashes attract eye contact. It's a defining touch that people
notice from all angles. There are many color shades available for
mascara but the most natural looking ones that work for everyone
are simply black or brown. When applying mascara,
allow 1- 2 minutes after each application to avoid smearing. For
a more dramatic effect, use a
eyeliner/smudger to add a line above the lash, thin toward the
nose and a little wider toward the ear with a very slight upward
stroke at the outside crease of the eye. Smudge the line so that
there is a soft, not hard edge that blends upward on your eye lid.
Apply a wash of eye shadow all over the eyelid with no specific
definition. Voila, the eyes have it.
Lip
shades that look great with light to medium blond hair: Parisian
Pink, Dune Rose, Porsche Red, Champagne Rose, Misty Mauve, Rustique.
Raison, Infinity, Devotion, Mulberry, Eruption, Geranium. Sweetheart,
Sheer Power, Silk, Apricot Toast.
A
little color goes a long way on light skin. Go easy with blush.
The shade should be just a few tones darker than your natural skin
tone. Stay with muted pinks in warmer shades and peachy tones. Apply
blush to the apples of your cheeks and move upward in a "C" direction
over your temples and to the left and right sides of your forehead
to gently contour your face. After
foundation and blush, dust with loose powder to set your makeup
and make it last all day.
Generally
these shades will work well with light to medium dark blond hair
and fair skin: Soft pinks (better on younger skin), watermelons,
salmon, warm pinks, pink browns, plum reds, soft tomato reds, corals,
mauves, mauve browns, rose and rose browns.
Try
a little Clear
Lacquer on your lips over your lipstick as an extra touch to
give them a dewy, moist and irresistible look.
HINT:
Pink foundation and powders, frosted opaques, vivid fuchsias
shades will make mature skin look older, dated and drain color.
If
you want your lips to look picture perfect, apply lipstick
often and carefully, always with a mirror.
Lipliners help keep a beautiful shape and makes lipstick last longer.
Check frequently to be sure your color has not faded, every hour
or so. For the brows, shape with a tweezers and place a slightly
lighter tone just below the brow to bring out the arch. If you have
light brows define them by filling in lightly with a brow pencil
or brown shadow. Another trick is to use our French mocha eye shadow
to apply strokes lightly along the shape of the brow for a lovely
natural and defined look.
